Message From Fr. Emmanuel Ahua, C.S. Sp – Parish Priest

Hello everyone,

I hope you are well and still keeping the faith. As the national lockdown is once again eased down, and as the government efforts in vaccinating the population progresses, I wish to gladly inform you that the doors of St. Andrew’s Church, Thornton Heath shall be opened for the Celebration of Easter.

Thank you for all your efforts in trying to keep a safe space for worship.

Thank God we are able to celebrate Easter this year!!! However, we shall maintain, observe and respect the 2-meter social distancing and other necessary COVID-19 rules whenever we gather for any celebration, especially the Holy Week Celebrations of the paschal mystery of passion, death, and resurrection of Christ. Sending you an abundance of sweet thoughts this Easter and beyond! Cheers to new beginnings and second chances!!!

“Easter is a time to rejoice, be thankful, be assured that all is forgiven, so life extends beyond the soil of the earth.” — Byron Pulsifer

Happy Easter to everyone

SAFEGUARDING

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to keep your children with you in Church at all times. As well as safeguarding issues there are all sorts of health and safety hazards around the Church and we would hate anything to happen to a child who has wandered from your care.
